you create your own meaning
"You begin as part of source energy, you’re in the large objective perception of all that is.
Your source self could be called your higher self. There is no time and space that separates you from your higher self. It’s just a different dimensional aspect of you.
You decide to project forward, the thought of you, in this physical life, you project you, and there you are in your physical self.
That doesn’t mean that this perspective of your source self disappears, that doesn’t mean that all you are is this physical body. This means that you’re now two points of perception. This is why you can have the experience of say, intuition. It’s because even though you have this perspective that you have in your physical body, the identity that you call you by your name in this life, you also still have this perception.
This higher self, source view self, sees much more of the totality of your experience than you do because it’s not inhabited by space and time.
Every time you have a desire, you project the desire the second you experience that, so the minute you give birth to desire it sets forth what source will now become.
So the source self, which is devoid of resistance, resistant thoughts that hold you vibrationally apart from your desire. (you have a lot of resistant thoughts to the desires you create “I want a good relationship but I don’t think I deserve it”)
The minute you give birth to the desire, your source self becomes this frequency, it becomes it. And now you’re playing a game of catch-up. This is why it feels like you’re catching up to the perfection of God. It is that way, that perception, because you’re the one that told God what to become. We are the ones, down here in our physical life, which calls source into the new place.
The expansion of the universe, even that which you physically call the perception of dark matter in the universe, is the result of this process.
The minute you give rise to desire and your source self becomes that desire, because you have desired it, and you hold yourself in opposition to it, this is where emotions come into play. Your emotions are always your indication as to whether the thought you hold is in the direction of your desires and your source self, or in opposition to them.
When you are thinking a positive thought, that means you’re closing this gap between where you are, and where your desires, your source self and where source totality is.
When you are thinking thoughts that have negative resonance and feel negative to you in terms of emotion, you are thinking a thought which holds you in opposition to this spot.
So the purpose of life, is the expansion of this universe. Evolution is a natural by-product of life. You can’t really call evolution the entire purpose of being here because evolution is the inevitable by-product of following what feels good to think. That’s why even though it may sound pretty fruit loopy for those of us that are talking about creating you own reality and about the power of positive thinking, it’s not fruit loopy at all.
It is through you following what you think feels good, and choosing your thoughts which deliberately feel good, which line up with the every thought which you’ve put there in the first place. You are constantly lining up with your source self.
Life itself was created in the first place because life is an expression of source, which calls forth expansion in such a unique way. When we are down here in our physical bodies, we are honing through these physical experiences what our preferences are. The preferences show source what to become, and not only what to become but what is. We are in the process of rediscovery. Source finds out what it is through our every waking breath. So, we are instruments of honing, We hone the desire, We hone the improved idea, We hone the self-concept and the awareness. And that is what life is all about."
“I’m fascinated by the dream world we live in, sleep dreaming and that moment of pre-sleep when the subconscious mind whirls up. My own personal feeling is, and this is beyond religion or spirituality, that this is all an illusion “Maya” because my life has been such. None of it makes any logical left brain sense to me. I believe there is something in us that we deeply understand, deep in our nature, deeper than anything we can begin to comprehend, and that certain moments in our lives we get little signals, little flashes when we decide to change our lives, little flashes that says, “it’s yours if you want it” and I don’t know how that happens, but it happened to me.
I think there is a superior consciousness in all of us that we touch into sometimes, I don’t know if I believe in anything, but I believe whatever that thing we’ve talked about for centuries is just within us. Remarkable things has happened in my life by just wishing or asking for a bit of help. And I don’t believe, I’m an agnostic I guess, but I think it’s something inside us that will respond. We have to make our lives, we have to believe in the power of life.
We don’t know what reality is, we don’t know what life is, we don’t know what time is. We could be dreaming at this moment. That’s how asleep humans is, our whole history could be one big slumber."
"Beyond work and love, I would add two other ingredients that give meaning to life. First, to fulfill whatever talents we are born with. However blessed we are by fate with different abilities and strengths, we should try to develop them to the fullest, rather than allow them to atrophy and decay. We all know individuals who did not fulfill the promise they showed in childhood. Many of them became haunted by the image of what they might have become. Instead of blaming fate, I think we should accept ourselves as we are and try to fulfill whatever dreams are within our capability.
Second, we should try to leave the world a better place than when we entered it. As individuals, we can make a difference, whether it is to probe the secrets of Nature, to clean up the environment and work for peace and social justice, or to nurture the inquisitive, vibrant spirit of the young by being a mentor and a guide."
"They say to me, how can you bear to be alive if everything is so cold and empty and pointless? Well, at an academic level I think it is - but that doesn't mean you can live your life like that. One answer is that I feel privileged to be allowed to understand why the world exists, and why I exist, and I want to share it with other people.
We are fantastically privileged to exist at all, but then we also have the privilege of understanding this beautiful world in which we find ourselves. that should make us all the more eager to soak up as much as we possibly can of understanding our world and our place in it before we die.
Mysteries do not lose their poetry when solved. Quite the contrary: the solution often turns out more beautiful than the puzzle... "
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thoughts. It is made up of our thoughts. If one speaks or acts with an evil thought, pain follows one, as the wheel follows the foot of the ox that draws the wagon.
All that we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded on our thoughts. It is made up of our thoughts. If one speaks or acts with a pure thought, happiness follows one, like a shadow that never leaves."
"the meaning of life is in attaining the highest form of knowledge, which is the Idea of the Good, from which all good and just things derive utility and value."
"It may seem crazy to doubt that our concept of reality is true. But I think to find the meaning of life, we must answer the question: is there an independent reality or not?.
This is essentially what we do in science. We create a best-fit-models of how we believe the universe actually works. Models that best fit the reality we perceive. Physicist are forever creating ever more sophisticated models, and the truth of those models is impossible to establish. A good example is quarks, do they exist? The answer is they exist as far as there is a model that works. That is as far as we can go.
This is called the concept of model dependent reality, and I believe it leads us directly to the meaning of life."
"What is the meaning of human life, or, for that matter, of the life of any creature? To know an answer to this question means to be religious. You ask: Does it many any sense, then, to pose this question? I answer: The man who regards his own life and that of his fellow creatures as meaningless is not merely unhappy but hardly fit for life."
"Love and work are the cornerstones of our humanness."
"The unexamined life is not worth living."
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself."
